Southern Arizona boasts a stunning diversity of birds, and August is an optimal time to visit the area as the summer monsoon rains bring greener vegetation, lower temperatures, and more bird activity. For this trip, we’ll visit deserts, grasslands, and stunning mountain canyons to find species such as the Gila Woodpecker, Elegant Trogon, Greater Pewee, Gray Hawk, Mexican Jay, Bridled Titmouse, Northern Beardless-Tyrannulet, Rufous-winged Sparrow, Sulfur-bellied Flycatcher, Varied Bunting, and a dazzling variety of hummingbirds.

Trip Dates:
The trip runs from August 12-17. Participants must make their own way to and from Tucson, AZ.
