Indigenous Culture Camp (ages 13-18) - Nature Center at Pia Okwai
At the Nature Center at Pia Okwai, we believe the best classroom is one without walls. Immerse yourself in Indigenous wisdom, reconnect with nature, and cultivate skills that will serve you for a lifetime. Here, you'll learn from the land itself, not just about it.
Our Indigenous Culture Camp offers campers a chance to learn, understand, and integrate Indigenous culture into their daily lives. This camp will explore the identification of useful native plants in Utah, the construction of tree structures, nature walks to discover plants outside the city, Indigenous games, dancing and singing, and the history of those who once roamed this land.
This Camp will be held at Tracy Aviary’s Nature Center at Pia Okwai, located at:
3310 S 1000 W
South Salt Lake, UT 84119
Please note this camp is NOT held at Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park.
