The Power of Portugal on January 20th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Join us each month for a fun evening of wine education hosted by Jim Santangelo, owner and Sommelier of Wine Academy of Utah. Brought to you in partnership with Eat Drink SLC.
Portugal’s most famous wine is Port producing ripe plummy and fig sweet wines from the Douro Valley. But did you know that Vinho Verde wine originated from the historic northern part of the country. Join us for a tasting showcasing the various styles of wines from Portugal, ranging from the slightly sparkling Vinho Verde’s to dry reds to, of course, the rich Ports of Porto!
This month’s featured restaurant: The Rest
Bodega is the street level Tavern, that offers no frills cocktails in addition to draft beer and shots.
With a reservation, you can experience The Rest. It is a subterranean gem that looks like a bar that Hemingway would have built. Dark wood, taxidermy, old books, and plenty of good whiskey. Perfect place for privacy and escaping the world for a minute... Or hours.
